Accessibility

How anglovia.shop is built to be usable with a keyboard and a screen reader, and how to tell us when something does not work.

On this page

ANGLOVIA is run by PIRANI LIFE, INC., a Florida profit corporation (Florida Department of State Document Number P18000064920). We want everyone who visits anglovia.shop to be able to browse our angled insulated tumblers, gift sets, straws and straw toppers, sleeves, lid packs and carriers, and to order them, without barriers. This statement explains the standard we work to, what we have already done, where we know we fall short, and how to reach a person if something on the site does not work for you.

Our target standard

We build and test the site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That is our target for every page. Accessibility is an ongoing job rather than a one-time fix, so we review the site as we add products and pages, and we act on what customers report to us.

What we have done

  • Keyboard navigation. The site can be used from the keyboard alone, including the menu, product pages, the language and country choices, checkout, and the drag-to-spin tumbler on the home page. That tumbler also turns with the arrow keys and with turn buttons, so nothing about it depends on dragging with a mouse or a finger.
  • Visible focus. When you move through the page with the keyboard, the element you are on is clearly outlined, so you always know where you are.
  • Alt text. Product photos have alt text that describes the piece, its shape, its color and, where it matters, the Slant Cut rim or the polished metal lip.
  • Labelled form fields. Form fields, including the contact form and the withdrawal form, have labels that are read out correctly.
  • Contrast. Text and interface elements meet a color contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 on every page. Your language choice and your country and currency choice are remembered in your browser for your next visit.
  • No information by color alone. Nothing on the site depends on being able to tell one color from another. Our colors are named as well as shown, and the written name always sits next to the swatch: Coral Punch, Lagoon, Sunbeam, Flamingo, Seafoam and Night Swim, with small pieces also in Party Mix and Tide Mix.
  • Reduced motion. If your device or browser asks for reduced motion, we respect it. The spinning tumbler on the home page, the scrolling stripe band and the looping videos all stop.
  • Video. The videos on the site are short, silent, decorative loops. They carry no spoken information, and they are muted.
  • No accessibility overlay plugin. We do not use an overlay or widget that sits on top of the page and claims to fix accessibility. We fix the underlying pages instead, so that the improvements work with your own browser and assistive technology rather than replacing them.

Known limitations

We would rather be straight with you about what is not yet perfect than claim more than we can deliver.

  • Beach scene photos. Some of our styled beach scene shots have alt text that is on the short side, so you may not get a full description of everything visible in the frame. The props in those photos (drinks, towels, food, sunglasses and similar) are styling only and are not included with any order. If you need a description of a particular piece — capacity in ml and oz, size in cm, color, material line, exactly what is in the box — email us and we will describe it or send you plain photos.
  • Payment fields at checkout. The card and payment fields you use at checkout are provided by our payment provider, not built by us. We choose providers carefully and we refer you to the payment methods shown at checkout, but we cannot change the accessibility of those fields ourselves. If you cannot complete the payment step, contact us and we will take your order by email or phone instead.
  • Machine translations. Parts of the site are translated automatically. Automatic translations can contain mistakes, including mistakes in wording that affect how a page is read out. If something reads oddly or incorrectly, tell us which page and which language, and we will correct it. We are always happy to answer in English.

If a barrier blocks your order

If anything on the site — a form, a page, a payment step — stops you from placing an order, we will take the order for you by email or by phone. Email us what you would like, with your delivery address, and we will confirm the price and its currency, the flat tracked delivery charge for your country and how to pay. Telephone orders are welcome too.

Feedback and contact

Tell us about any accessibility problem, or ask us for help ordering, and we will reply within two business days. You do not need an account to contact us. If you would prefer a different format for anything on this site, ask and we will do what we can.
