Care & materials

How to wash and look after the tumblers, lids, straws, toppers, sleeves and carriers, product safety, and what we do not claim.

On this page

A little care goes a long way. These pieces are meant to be used every day, and the notes below cover how to wash them, what to keep them away from, and the safety points that matter.

What the pieces are made of

We keep this simple and we only state what we can stand behind:

  • Tumblers: double-wall insulated body, matte powder-coated outside; polished metal lip on the slanted rim.
  • Lids, straws, toppers and grip bands: material details on request.
  • Sleeves and carriers: fabric; fiber content on request.

The metal grade, the plastics used in lids, straws and toppers, and the food-contact documents are being confirmed with our supplier. Until that confirmation is complete we do not publish details we cannot verify. If you need them, email support@anglovia.shop and we will send what we have.

Every piece in the range shares one detail: an edge cut at the same 15° slant — the Slant Cut — on rims, lids, sleeve tops, topper faces and carrier tabs.

Washing tumblers and lids

  • Hand wash the tumbler and the lid in warm soapy water.
  • Where a slide or flip lid comes apart, take the parts apart before washing, so the inside of the mechanism gets cleaned too.
  • Rinse well and let everything dry fully with the lid off the tumbler.
  • We do not promise dishwasher use. If you put a piece in a dishwasher, you do so at your own risk.
  • Never microwave a metal tumbler.
  • Do not put a full tumbler in the freezer — liquid expands as it freezes.
  • The powder coat can scratch. Skip abrasive sponges, scouring pads and gritty cleaners; a soft cloth or sponge is enough.

The polished lip

The polished metal lip on the slanted rim is the part you drink from. Wipe it dry after washing rather than leaving it to air dry, so water marks do not build up on the finish.

Straws and toppers

  • Use the cleaning brush after each use, then let the straws and toppers air dry.
  • Replace a straw or topper if it is cracked, split or worn.

Small parts: toppers and straws contain small parts and are a choking hazard. Keep them away from children under 3. They are not a toy. Do not drink hot liquids through a straw.

Sleeves and carriers

  • Hand wash cold and air dry.
  • Keep straps, rope handles and cords away from young children.

Hold times and leaks

We publish how long a tumbler holds a drink hot or cold only once we have measured it for that specific model. None are published yet, so we do not state hold times — and we would rather say nothing than give you a number we have not tested ourselves.

Our lids are not sold as leak-proof, spill-proof or splash-proof. Keep tumblers upright when you carry them, especially in a bag.

Product safety

  • Hot drinks can scald. Take care when filling, and keep tumblers away from the edge of a table.
  • This is not a children’s product.
  • Stop using a tumbler or lid that is damaged — a dented body, a cracked lid or a loose part — and contact us.
